Yesterday was a memorable day in my life and in my friend’s life. My friend Dreamson was robbed by two strong men in downtown. What a terrible thing it was!
He lived together with me and he went out to his friend’s home to joint a party yesterday’s afternoon. He said he would come back at about 11pm. But he did not come back yesterday. I thought that maybe he drunk a lot and had been sleeping in his friend’s home. I thought that was the reason why I tried to call him but nobody picked the phone up. I did not put this thing in my mind because I felt relieved about him and I trusted Calgary’s public security. So I went to bed at about 12o’clock. What shocked me was that he did not come back when I should go to university!! It was 10:00am!! I tried to call him but the phone was still not picked up. I felt nervous and a little scared. So I cannot pay my whole attention to my class today. At noon, he called me back eventually and he said he was robbed yesterday’s mid-night in downtown. Those two robbers pointed a knife on his pit of the stomach and let him take out all the cash. OMG!! OMG!! Fortunately he was not hurt by those two robbers. They just robed above $100 from him. But I can image how scared he felt. He stayed in the police station last night. He never came across this case, so did I. I am comforting him now and he become calm gradually. I am sure he will not walk on. Form now on, I think Calgary is not very safe, especially in the downtown…..I hope I won’t hear this case in the future……

something....
U know, I have got a job in the university. Every weekday I went to work after finishing my class. Although it is very busy everyday, I like it. Just because I like colorful life. I can not only earn some money from it, but also I can got lots of experience.
At the very beginning, I was arranged to wash many dishes. Sometimes there were lots of dishes and sometimes there were even no dishes to wash. When there was a party, I would be very busy and have a terrible night.
But a couple of days ago, my boss told me not to wash dishes. He let me prepare cook for the kitchen!! How wonderful it was! Maybe I thought it was due to my hardworking. How happy I felt! I finally kept far away from dirty dishes and mess sauce! A new work was waiting for me! Thank my boss! Thank my parents! Thank my fans! Thank goodness!
However, u cannot imagine that the second day of my new work. There was little work to do. And one imposing staff said to me: “ Can you do me a favour?” I said yes and followed with him to a huge hall on the 3rd floor. There were many tables and chairs in it and he asked me to help him take all of them to the 1st floor. Crazy task!! Some partners and I finished it difficultly. And I hope I won’t do that in the future.

HELL
Can you imagine? The first month of mine in Calgary is a little terrible.
I found a room for rent for myself and I moved into it from a home hotel. I considered I eventually had a stable place to live and I was very happy at the beginning of September. Because the rent of the room was not very high, the room had a commodious space for me, and the most important thing, I thought, was that the distance from the house to school was not very long. I should just take 6 minutes bus and then transfer to the C-Train to arrive at the university. I thought the room was fitable for me. Everything seemed to go well.
BUT BUT BUT, after a few days living there, I found that what I thought in the past was not true. The landlord did not turn on the central heating for me. The temperature of the room was at only 14 centigrade!!! It was like that I lived outside the house!! The most terrible thing I saw was that the landlord and his wife often fought with each other. Their loudness made me not pay my whole attention to my study. One day I even saw the woman wanted to take a kitchen knife to chop at his husband. HOW TERRIBLE IT WAS!!!! You cannot imagine World War happened everyday!!

New Way
Time pasts very fast. I was in China one month ago but now I am in the beautiful city, Calgary. Very excited, right?Calgary is a vital city full of a lot of friendly people. It has very developed transportation, fresh air, clean water and something else I cannot see in my hometown. Everything here is new to me. You can imagine that one person who is in a completely different atmosphere, different language and entirely unfamiliar people is a terrible hard time at the very beginning. However, you have to face all the difficulties, right? So, be strong and be a true man. These experiences can make my life colourful. I was very excited and a little scared.
I can remembered the first few days at the very beginning when I came to Calgary. I opened my bank account, registered in the university, found somewhere to live, and choosed a cellphone plan. I was extremely busy. I did all the things by my own. I did not feel tired. On the contrary, I was very contented because I made many small achievements. Now, I have already fit for the life in Calgary and I love studying and living here.
